About

My name is Dan, and I am a geek. (Hi Dan!). I like stories, particularly those of the fantastic or speculative variety. Each story is a journey. Frodo’s walk to Mordor resonates with some of us, while Kimmy Schmitt’s reacclimation to society speaks to others. It is why we stay up all night to finish a book or put off eating to binge watch a show we’ve just discovered streaming online. We become enthralled with our favorite stories very, very easily. I, for one, am ever-learning more about myself through the stories I soak up. And here at ThePilgrimGeek.com, I wade into those waters.

In April 2015, I began a blog that was nothing more than a catch-all for what ever I wanted to write. You’ll find some early posts reflect that. As this internet experiment of mine continued, my focus began to coalesce into the blog that sits before you now.

My formal education is theology, but science-fiction, superheroes, and fantasy are life-long joys and passions. The Pilgrim Geek is where I explore how these different facets of my life intersect and mash together. Thanks for reading, fellow pilgrims.
